Impressions of the Beate Uhse Cup 2015

Last weekend the 4th Beate Uhse Cup took place in Würzburg!

A temperature of 28 degrees, 12 female, 16 male teams, a camping site, two fields and a hilarious mood are very good requirements for a perfect lacrosse tournament.

More than 300 players participated in the tournament and about 50 visitors came to watch some fiery games. The team with the furthest journey way was Aachen and some single players also came from Innsbruck and played in pickup-teams, they are the players with the furthest journey way.

Important points in the flow next to the plays were the tombola, which collected money for a new started team. Captain

Lax sponsored two 10euro-vouchers as winnings. The proceeds went to the ladies’ department of the Ingolstadt Panthers Lacrosse.

On Sunday the “Fastest Shot Contest” took place, which is also sponsored by Captain Lax with two 15euro-vouchers for the winners:

Lubica Kpcova with 82 km/h and Christian Heitmann with 133 km/ h. Congratulations!

In the tournament you can see a lot of exciting games, rapid fights and breathtaking goals.

Beate Uhse Cup Organization team

Organizators of the BUC (Matze Stolte, right)

CL: Why do you host this tournament?
MS: In 2011 we organized the university championships and the feedback was so good, that we wanted to organize more tournaments and so we started the Beate Uhse Cup.
CL: Would you say that the effort for this event is worth it?
MS: It is a team event. We help all together and that’s why it’s always awin when we organized this tournament and we earn some money to buy new equipment at your shop.
CL: What has been the best in the tournament until now?
MS: The games started punctually (smile) and moreover this is the first year in which we have good weather.
CL: What’s better this year?
MS: The male and the female games are separated on, so they can cheer on each other.
CL: Please, describe your feelings about this event.
MS: We love this tournament because it is like an encounter of friends and if there are new teams they are sincerely welcome in the big family of lacrosse. We had a kind of festival feeling.

Below, we show you some pictures of the tournament, perhaps you may
