DeutschTeam Lacrosse England announce the return of the Best & Brightest” lacrosse tournament for the 2012/13 laxing season.
The Best & Brightest LAX-tournament, is now in the secaond year and brings together the most skilful lacrosse players in the English women’s game to pit’s their wits – their sticks – and each other in a competition designed to find the best players in the country.
laxing Teams are made up of a selection of different players from the England Squad and the Development Squad, both of which include members from the Under-19 Squads. This years tournament will also serve as the basis to select the team that will represent England in 2013 Home Internationals in Scotland and the 2013 World Cup in Ontario, Canada in July next year.
Surrey Sports Park will again be the host site for the 2012/13 tournament. The facility was also selected to host the 2017 Womens World Cup after the English Lacrosse Association successful bid was accepted in July.
The tournament comprises four round-robin matches on different days and then a final scheduled for December, when the top two teams will play off for the winner’s medals and the other two teams will play off for third place. 10.30 – BRONZE MEDAL MATCH PLAY OFF
